Dextroscoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine to the right side of the body in the middle and upper thoracic region.

The rib cage will protrude to the right as the thoracic spine bends away from the heart. The shoulders will be uneven in height as the body and hips tilt to one side.

The rib cage compresses the lungs in extreme curvature to the right, causing patients to have difficulty breathing.
