The following are some of the Viagra lawsuits filed against Pfizer in different years.
August 2014– A Viagra lawsuit was filed by Edward Corboy Jr. against Pfizer in 2014, asserting the company “failed to adequately warn that the use of Viagra significantly increases a person’s risk of developing skin cancer.”
In 2008, Corboy took Viagra to treat erectile dysfunction. Corboy stated in his complaint that he had a tissue sample taken from a mole on his neck in December 2012, and the findings confirmed melanoma. Corboy later required surgery to get his cancer cleared.
Corboy’s complaint also claimed that his long-term use of the drug put him at a higher risk of developing melanoma and that it became severe.
Finally, the plaintiff stated that he would not have taken the risk if he had been appropriately warned about the dangers.
December 2014 – An Illinois man filed a Viagra lawsuit against Pfizer Inc., claiming that the erectile dysfunction medication caused his melanoma skin cancer.
The plaintiff claimed that the most active ingredient in the blue pill (Sildenafil citrate) is a side effect of taking Viagra.
According to this Viagra law cases, the plaintiff claimed that Pfizer was aware, or should have been aware, of the connection between the medication and skin cancer. The plaintiff also claimed that Pfizer failed to warn about the risk of Viagra, which led to the development of life-threatening cancer.
January 2015 – A Viagra skin cancer lawsuit was filed against Pfizer by an Illinois resident. The plaintiff claimed that taking the famous “blue pill” for erectile dysfunction caused him to develop melanoma skin cancer.
The plaintiff claimed that in 2008, he was prescribed Viagra as a supposedly effective treatment for erectile dysfunction. The man took the medication until the end of 2012, when he was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer following a biopsy of a neck mole.
The plaintiff claimed that if he knew that taking Viagra could increase his risk of developing melanoma, he would have considered many other options or never taken the prescription medication.
April 2015 – One further Viagra melanoma lawsuit has been filed against Pfizer Inc., this time by a Kentucky plaintiff who claims that Pfizer’s erectile dysfunction pills caused the development of his deadly melanoma skin cancer.
The plaintiff received his first Viagra prescription shortly after the erectile dysfunction medication was launched onto the medical market and used until the end of 2012.
The plaintiff claimed that Pfizer Inc. failed to inform him of the risks associated with the medication that caused his melanoma skin cancer. Although the growths were successfully removed through surgery, the plaintiff is at a high risk of developing the deadliest form of skin cancer.
May 2015 – Another Viagra wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Pfizer, this time by a Minnesota woman whose husband died of deadly melanoma skin cancer. The plaintiff claimed that the drug manufacturer Pfizer Inc. failed to warn her husband about the potentially fatal side effects of taking the erectile dysfunction medication.
According to this Viagra law cases, the plaintiff stated that if her husband had been aware of the risks associated with taking Viagra, “he would have chosen not to take Viagra and, as a result, would not have experienced its serious side effects that claimed his life.”
June 2015- In 2000, Robert Eubanks began using Viagra to treat erectile dysfunction. Eubanks continued to use the drug regularly until 2013 when he changed to Cialis (an E.D. medicine manufactured by Eli Lilly).
Eubanks was detected with melanoma on his back on November 12, 2012. Later, cancer spread to his thyroid and a lymph vessel below his left arm. Eubanks had surgery to remove cancerous cells.
Therefore, in June 2015, Eubanks and his wife, Teresa, filed a lawsuit against Pfizer. According to their complaint, “If the manufacturer had mentioned the risk of the medication, Robert Eubanks would have avoided the risk of developing melanoma by not using Viagra at all.”
There are also Viagra hearing loss lawsuits, Viagra blindness lawsuits, and Cialis hearing loss lawsuits in function, which are as not in detail.
Viagra blindness lawsuit and Viagra hearing loss lawsuit
Many men, who used viagra, filed a lawsuit against Pfizer for sudden blindness and hearing loss. Cases related to blindness and hearing loss are filed in large numbers for the past few years.
Cialis in Lawsuits
On February 12th, an Arkansas man filed a lawsuit against Eli Lily and Co., the manufacturers and distributors of the drug Cialis, alleging that the drug was the cause of his melanoma, and he also stated that if the drug had proper warnings about the risk of skin cancer, he could have avoided it.
